Enabling “Always on Top” in Settings–>Main should keep the resized web window/player on top of any other windows. I just tested that and was able to resize the window and direct play an HEVC file remotely. As long as you have direct play and hardware acceleration enabled, you should be able to switch to web mode from the PMP home screen (see screenshot) and play back the files. You might be able to simulate PiP functionality in PMP using web mode (possibly wrong name, came out in v1.2 I think?), which is supposed to behave like the web interface, but still play content through MPV (thus supporting HEVC files). Tobias last commented on it in June (second thread) and PMP has a lot of other feature requests so I don’t think native support will likely be seeing the light of day any time soon (I’m not looped in on the development though, so take that with a giant grain of salt).
